College football doesn’t have a Division I playoff. But teams in I-AA, Division II and Division III are taking part in playoffs. The Division II playoffs began last weekend in the stadiums of small college towns across the nation. One of the top seeds in this year's playoffs is the Huskies of Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.
On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today we talk with the long time head coach at Bloomsburg, Danny Hale.
Danny gave up his coaching position at West Chester University in the early 1990's because he wouldn’t fire his assistant coaching staff. He was out of coaching for several seasons and then the Lord provided him the opportunity to coach again at Bloomsburg.
Danny’s teams at Bloomsburg have had great success on the field and played in the 1999 Division II national title game. His teams are consistently in the playoffs.
Danny tells us about his team, his coaching philosophy and the impact he hopes to make on his players, the campus and community.
Enjoy a football visit with one of the top small college coaches in the country on Sports Spectrum Today.
