Ed Schilling – College Basketball – Tar Heels

SPORTS SPECTRUM TODAY

College Basketball

Guests: Ed Schilling
Former Head Coach
Wright State University

Interviewed by: Frank Giardina

The first pre-season college basketball poll is out and to no one’s surprise the North Carolina Tar Heels are rated number one.

We talk about Roy Williams and what makes his Tar Heels program special on Sports Spectrum Today. Ed Schilling the former head coach at Wright State joins us in conversation. He’s also a former assistant at U Mass, Miami of Ohio and Memphis. In addition he was an NBA assistant with the New Jersey Nets.

Ed also talks about his old team, Memphis. Can head coach John Calipari get the Tigers back to a Final Four or is there some re-building to be done?

Ed works out in the off-season with injured Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden. Ed talks about the injury issues that the young center has faced thus far and talks about the need for players to have more in their lives than just basketball.

It’s a discussion of real-life issues in basketball with Ed Schilling on Sports Spectrum Today.
