The college football season has been exciting in the Big 12. The league is known for its quarterbacks—Chase Daniel of Missouri, Todd Reesing of Kansas, Graham Harrell of Texas Tech, Colt McCoy of Texas and Sam Bradford of Oklahoma have all become household names.
But under the radar, a Big 12 team that’s been improving all season is the Cornhuskers of Nebraska. The pride in Nebraska football is being restored under the toughness of first year head coach Bo Pelini.
On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk with an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska, Ron Brown. Ron had coached for 17 years under Tom Osborne. During that time Nebraska won three national titles in 1994, 1995 and 1997. Ron was dismissed by Coach Bill Callahan in 2002 and worked for Mission Nebraska and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the four years that followed.
He’s thankful to be back and shares a few perspectives that have given him an even greater passion for coaching. We visit with Ron Brown on Sports Spectrum Today.
